X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. There's a number of settings for a range of play, whatever your preference, and while we accept new characters we strongly encourage people to adopt one of our orphans.

Check out the Wiki and the advertising community to see what's available. Readers are highly encouraged! If you're looking for X-Men based entertainment, X-Project welcomes you to read along and enjoy the ride!

Jean-Paul, please tell me this is someone's attempt at Photoshop effects...

x_courier: (ohno)

I'm not sure if it's the ass-raping conga line, the rampant crotch grabbing, the cheesy, blurry faux-space background, the kick aerobics-in-lieu-of-dancing, Sweden's answer to the Nelson twins (in which only one of them is a girl), or the fact that the Nelson twins our protagonists ride into the vacuum of space...in an open convertible.

And that's just the video; I couldn't stand to watch it with the sound on.

WHAT. THE. FUCK. SWEDEN.

...I rest my case.
x_courier: (dapper)
I believe this headline says it all:

Naked horn player named Sweden's Water Fairy of the Year.

I rest my case.

This week has sucked, and it's that special time of year where we celebrate not wanting to pay taxes by setting things on fire.

I'll be on the roof of the Brownstone with beer and fireworks for most of the weekend, excepting for whenever those taxpayer dollars get used to try to blow up the Statue of Liberty. I'll be the one rooting for them to "accidentally" burn down New Jersey. Feel free to join me for whatever.

Oh God

There's a Ninja Warrior marathon on.

I might not leave my apartment for the rest of the weekend. Send donuts, stat.

Where does one find the amazing tiramisu from last night's party? That was almost certainly the best of its kind I've ever had in the States, possibly outside of Italy. For that matter, it gave some Italian tiramisu I've had a run for its money.

...I swear I talk about more than just food. Let's see. Basketball? I'm amused at the way the NBA finals are shaping up, but that's mostly because it's fun to watch the teams that were picked months ago to win the whole shebang crash and burn under the pressure.

Hmm, no takers? Literature, then. Hawthorne: Entirely overrated hack, or simply a product of his times?
x_courier: (ummm)
Did I mention that my darling fake trophy wife gave me an ice cream maker as a housewarming present?

And did I also mention that she and I have now poured everything either mint or chocolate that we could get our hands on--and between the two of us, we're very good at finding such things--into said ice cream maker?

There might also be a mystery ingredient. That I promise is not peanut butter. Or maple syrup, although it was a very near thing.

Regardless, someone should probably save Jubilee and I from getting our just desserts, by which I mean that we are at a very real risk of eating an entire bucket of ice cream by ourselves.

Door's open. BYOS.

The inimitable Ms. Lee and I will be feeding our jetlag this morning at Baked, home of the stonut. Those of you in the greater metropolitan area who've recently returned from abroad and who find yourselves inexplicably awake at *checks watch* 3 a.m. or so should consider yourselves invited along to join us.

If you're good, we might even play Name That Illegal Substance.

And now, in theory, I sleep.

*yawn*

Do you know how disconcerting it is to go to sleep when it's dark out, and then wake up and realise it's still dark out? Jet lag: Fun for the whole family. Speaking of disconcerting, there's nothing quite like finding pictures of yourself that are nearly four years old when you least expect it.

American television, my old friend, how I've missed you! And Mexican food. And marshmallows.

...What day is it, anyway? And why is there no bakery in this neighbourhood?

You know, I would be reading Harry Potter now, if I wasn't traumaticed for life and now see frogs everytime I hear that name.

Oh, the traumas I suffer!

That said, Dad's called me in for a meeting (presumably to talk pointedly about vacations and how long vacations usually last), so I'm going to Geneva in a couple of hours.

Remy, Betsy, I left a pile of papers for you to go through.

Wanda, there's no more cake in our fridge and I took back my green sweater.

I'll be back by the weekend, probably.
x_courier: (Cookies)
Weddings have cake.

I like weddings.
x_courier: (Boo-yah!)
By the end of the day, I will have defeated the evil files!

Except from those Nathan is reading, but I´m ignoring that right now and keeping a positive mind set. Soon it will be possible to enter the office without needing a map, even.
x_courier: (Boo-yah!)
No, I´m not going to be a counsellor, so whatever nefarious plans you have? Forget them.

What else?

I´m rooming with Wanda, if any of you want to keep me company during my Break times. Or give me cookies. Either way is good.

Oh, and hi to everyone I´ve met before, and everyone I haven´t.
x_courier: (Thinking face)
"Is that it?

Am I done?"

-Doyle

And on a completly different note, hey, I'm back. Did you miss me while I was gone?

Found my room pretty much as I left it, and I see someone's been keeping Daphne alive. Most kind. Whoever you are, I owe you. How does dinner sound?

I'm not sure, but I get the impression school's out for the summer? I've never attended school in the US, so I have no idea what kind of shedule you're on. ...Not that I'd remember even if I had.

So what's been going on around here?

Someone needs to die, methinks. *eyes icon* It brings up traumas, it really does, I must have, let's see... creme brulee, strawberry cake, chocolate chips and, I think, great amounts of pizza to comfort myself.

What I meant was, apparently, I'll be at the mansion tomorrow at some point, but then I'm leaving again on the 4th, because of Passover and the great-aunts would put out a hit on me if I'm not there, and also, the food. And then I got an invitation (read: I begged, pleaded and offered sexual favours) to go to Wakanda, so I'm heading there after Passover. Not sure how long I'll be in Wakanda. Apparently there's some sort of border troubles (again) and Ross has been hauled in to schmooze on behalf of the US. Dad wants me to see if I can get an in with the King, which I doubt I'll manage, but, hey, Wakanda!

Bet they've come up with lots of new gadgets since last time I was there...

But I'll probably be reachable from now on, since Interpol's been shut up and Dad's done yelling, so my iBook is no longer held hostage. The iBook might be confiscated when I enter Wakanda though. Paranoid doesn't begin to describe it.

Anyway, Ross is on way back with my caffe Mocca, so I'm cutting this short.

It's good to be me again.

Back.

x_courier: (phone - Lauren)
Well, sort of. Actually I'm in Washington. But I'm out of the loving company of both dad and Interpol, so I'm mostly back. Need to see some one here right now, but I'll be back for real in a couple of days.

So how are you all doing? (Amanda, you, I already know, so please don't tell me again. I don't think I understood it the first time around.) In what interesting ways have you managed to crash and burn since last I saw you?

Anybody up for basketball? Anybody at all?

For some reason I find myself possessing a red crayon. I don't particularly need a red crayon, so who wants it?

Kimmie is coming by later today to drop off some stuff I couldn't get when we were in the city a couple of days ago. If I'm not around, just sign for it whoever answers the door. It's mostly wiring for the surveillance.

If anyone's going shopping today, I'm out of apple'n'cinnamon tea and would like some, please.
